Bill Whalen

Bill Whalen is the Virginia Hobbs Carpenter Distinguished Policy Fellow in Journalism at the Hoover Institution. He is a regular contributor to Hoover’s channels California on Your Mind and Defining Ideas, and hosts the Matters of Policy & Politics podcast. Prior to joining the Hoover Institution, Whalen was the chief speechwriter and director of public affairs for California governor Pete Wilson.
