Jonathan Rodden

Jonathan Rodden is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), and a professor of political science in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University. Rodden’s research focuses on the comparative political economy of institutions. His most recent book is Why Cities Lose: The Deep Roots of the Urban-Rural Political Divide (Basic Books, 2019).
